Kisumu 'dancing chief' to be rewarded a with a holiday of his choice

Travel agency, Expeditions Maasai Safaris wants to reward John Ogilo, the dancing chief from Kisumu after his dance moves cheered up netizens during the December holidays.

The travel company through their social media pages asked their followers to help them trace the chief so they could reward with a holiday of his choice.

‘Huu Mwaka mmesema hata Chiefs Must Enjoy a holiday. Help us look for the dancing chief we want to motivate him even more," they posted.

The company said they will use their social media by asking their followers to choose the most fitting holiday destination for the viral chief.

"Our customers want us to appreciate Kenyans going out of their way in their daily duties. As a brand, we are always ready to step in and motivate anyone spreading happiness or performing their duties with passion and encouragement," said the company's chief executive officer Mr. Pancras Karema.

Speaking to Citizen TV, the Kisumu 'dancing chief' said that the viral video has endeared him to the youth, making his work easier.

The man impressed Kenyans with his good dance moves that were in sync with the Kuna Kuna song.

The video of him went viral during the festive season and up to today is shared widely online.

There are more videos of him that have been shared in other clubs.

He explained how the video was leaked online.

"Tulikuwa tumemaliza patrol sasa jioni tukaenda kukula late lunch ndio tukainiga mahali tulikuwa tunafanya kidogo undercover kuangalia mambo ya drug abuse kidogo . Sasa ndio hio ghafla muziki ikatokea na mimi naifahamu hio muziki naipenda sasa wakati nilikuwa naidanci jamaa akachukuwa video na sikutarajia itrend hivi."

Before adding;

"The video was totally random I had not planned for it. We had finished doing our patrol and in the evening, we went to have late lunch then we entered there where we were conducting some undercover investigations on drug abuse."
