Many Kenyan celebrities impressed their fans by opening various businesses in the year 2022. The launches were so impressive that we have to list them as the year comes to an end.
1. Betty Kyallo
Besides owning a salon and barbershop along Kilimani, she also has a restaurant called Summer House.
2. Bien
The Sauti Sol singer opened a restaurant as well called The Manhattan.
The new club is located on the outskirts of Nairobi – on the first floor of the newly launched The Imaara Mall.
The Club is located at the intersection of Mombasa Road and the entrance into the vast and populous Imara Daima Estate.
3. David Moya
The Tiktok sensation opened a high-end salon/nail spa in July.
4. Mike Sonko
In January, former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko also launched a multi-million club in Mombasa County.
The club, dubbed VIP Volume Club is located in the coastal city’s Shanzu area. The establishment is very popular with revellers who are enthralled with its fancy interior decor.
Many say it reminds them of his equally fancy Mua Hills Home in Machakos.
5. Jalang'o and the wife
In April 2022, former radio host Jalang’o and his wife Amina Chao also ventured into the world of business with the lunch of their own restaurant dubbed Wapek Delicacies.
“We have officially opened Wapek Delicacies. Karibu! You can access Wapek from Mama Ngina St, opposite the International house. You can also access using the entrance on Kaunda St. next to Queensway Hse. Wapek Delicacies is on the 1st Floor,” read a post on Jalang’o’s Instagram page.
6. Alex Mwakideu
He opened a restaurant called Pampered Village located in Kitengela on the outskirts of Nairobi.
