Jackie Matubia and Blessing Lung'aho are reminiscing about the beautiful journey they had in 2022.
Jackie and Blessing sat down to reflect on 2022 and spoke about their most cherished moments, among them the actor's marriage proposal.
Jackie told fans that unveiling Blessing in February after much speculation about who she was dating was her highlight.
Jackie at the time was pregnant and Kenyans were curious about who her baby daddy was.
"I announced that I was expecting and people didn't know who the baby daddy was. In Feb, we announced we were together because it was becoming too much. But we were dating way before. We were also living together before."
Blessing was amused that the mystery surrounding her anonymous man created such a national debate.
Jackie also recalled one special thing she did two years ago before he asked her to marry him.
Jackie had been browsing social media when she stumbled on an IG page that helps couples plan their ideal marriage proposal moment.
Jackie took a screenshot and sent it to Blessing, and forgot about it (as the two didn't even believe the relationship would get to the serious stage it is at the moment)
This was until April 2022, when her baby daddy proposed with the assistance of the company that she had earlier recommended to her fiance'.
An excited Jackie in her recap of the year praised Blessing for keeping the idea and using it for their special moment.
"When we were dating two years ago, we hadn't moved in together and so there was this time I sent him, I saw them usiku tuu I sent him and said, 'Thanks.'
By the way that's all I said, 'Thanks.' Nilikuwa tuu namchokoza tu. We were not living together, we did not even think this thing would go this far. So later on after the proposal is when it hit me I sent Blessing."
Jackie made sure she also thanked Blessing for being thoughtful in her end-year video.
The couple has a daughter together, who was born in June this year while each has a child from a prior relationship.
