2022 has come to an end and we must say we are thrilled.
While it was a good year for some people it was tough on others.
Below are some of the biggest events that took place in 2022.
1. Ruto's Inauguration
William Ruto was on September 13, 2022, inaugurated as the 5th President of Kenya.
He was sworn in alongside his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
2. Oktoba Fest
This is the biggest beer event held in Kenya. It goes for three days consecutively.
This year it was held in
Tamasha, Eldoret (October 8th – 9th)
Jamii Executive Gardens and Mwea (October 15th – 16th).
All these culminated in a finale event at the Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi (October 28th – 30th).
3. ShinCity reunites Kleptomaniax in Eldoret.
Kleptomaniax was a rap group from Nairobi – formed back in 1999 by three talented friends who were at the time still in high school at the Nairobi School.
They brought Eldoret to a standstill after they held a sold-out event. They were trending for days after that.
4. Safari Rally
The event happened in Naivasha to the excitement of many.
The highlight of the event was Maxine Wahome emerged as the only woman to win in the race.
The 2022 Safari Rally was a motor racing event for rally cars held over four days between 23 and 26 June 2022.
It marked the sixty-ninth running of the Safari Rally.
5. World Cup
World Cup had to be the biggest event of 2022, the event was held in Qatar.
It began on November 20 and ended yesterday with Argentina emerging as the winner of the world cup.
World Cup is held after every four years. The biggest highlight of the event was watching Messi battle it out with Mbappe.
