Former US President Barrack Obama has shared a list of his favorite books he enjoyed reading in 2022.

He posted the list across multiple social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter continuing a 2009 tradition he started while in the White House.

He, however, picked Mitchell Obama's book titled 'The Light We Carry' as his number one favorite.

"I always look forward to sharing my lists of favorite books, movies, and music with all of you.  

"First up, here are some of the books I read and enjoyed this year. Let me know which books I should check out in 2023," he tweeted.

The 13 books encompass several genres, penned by different authors, and revolve around the human experience.

Sea Of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel was the second favorite followed by Hernan Diaz's Trust.

In 2021, Obama listed his favourite books and said he loves music and storytelling.

“Art always sustains and nourishes the soul. But for me, music and storytelling felt especially urgent during this pandemic year,” he wrote.

The former President, however, did not this time round post his favorite movies or music.
