More than 2 million Kenyans have borrowed from Hustler fund twice.

The Hustler Fund has reached another milestone with the number of people who have borrowed more than once hitting 2 million.

According to Cooperatives and MSME Development Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui, the growing number of "repeat customers" is a clear indication that Kenyans have adopted the borrow-and-pay concept envisioned by the government.

This, CS Chelugui, said has seen tremendous progress in debt repayment, which stood at about Sh2 billion according to the data released at 12 pm, Friday.

This translates to 23 percent of the Sh8.8 billion disbursed so far.

The number of Kenyans who have registered with the Fund launched two weeks ago has crossed the 16 million mark.

So far, borrowers have collectively saved Sh437 million from some 15 million transactions.

"We're proud of the gains made so far. We're making good progress all round," CS Chelugui said.

"We continue to urge Kenyans to borrow and pay because that's the only way one can enhance his credit score."
