Tanzanian singer Aslay has been on the top trend after releasing his series "Mimi ni Bongo Flava" which has caught a lot of people's attention.
In his second episode, the musician stated that he became famous to the extent people wanted to do collaborations with him.
He stressed that he rejected most collaborations with an argument that he was determined to pursue a solo career for some time.
He also mentioned that he turned down offers to be signed by three major record labels in Tanzania.
"Three labels came after me, they had their regulations and rules of doing things. Something that disadvantaged me and felt like there was no need for that because I believed in my work and talent," he said.
However, he refused to mention the big labels that wanted to manage him but went ahead to talk about his collaboration with Nandy.
Something that raised eyebrows among his fans. he made it clear that it was not his intention to talk about the collaborations.
"Doing a collaboration with Ruge was never a sign of competition, I have never competed with anyone before. Ruge took me because I was a good songwriter and a good musician. I did a collaboration with him just like any other musician will do. I even got a chance to help Nandy. I didn't want to talk about this but it's something that people know, he added.
Aslay is loved by his fans and most of his fans have been questioning his absence in the music industry.
He shortly explained that he became so wealthy and was thrown to worldly pleasures, forgetting where he came from something that he regrets to date.
