• This comes at a time when Eric Omondi has been attacking local artistes over the Nigerian invasion of our industry.

'Kanairo' hitmaker Major Nemeye Khadija popularly known by his stage name Mejja talked about the trending variety of creatives advising each other on their talent.

Phrasing it as ‘unsolicited’, he gave an example of a boiled 'mayai' vendor trying to advice a matatu driver on how he should drive his car.

“Ni kama msee wa smokie anataka kuonyesha kegonyi wa matatu afaa kuja hivi hivi,” he stated hilariously  in an interview with YouTuber Vincent Mboya.

The musician also went ahead to explain how ‘funny’ it was for a person with a different talent/skill to have the audacity to tell the other person how they should do their craft.

“Utakujaje kuniadvice kwa talent si yako?” he posed.

The 'unsolicited' advice has been coming from comedians such as Eric Omondi who has led the charge for Kenyans to play 75% local music.

While doing that, Eric has also been calling out Kenyan musicians and telling them to up their game, something that ruffled many feathers, including his frenemy Bien of Sauti Sol.

Just recently, his confrontation with Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones and his brother Lamaz Span K.O.B made headlines.

This followed a series of diverse opinions from content creators and designers on the emotive topic.

Mejja himself has been a mainstay in the industry and rise to fame started after he released the monster hit 'Kwani jana kuliendaje' back in 2008.

Since then he has been able to release more songs that have kept Kenyans on their feet, a feat that few artists have been able to match in the 254.

The 'Usiniharibie mood' singer's recent performance in Mwea for the famous Tusker Oktobafest proved just how much of an evergreen rapper Mejja is.
