Shortly after news erupted that popular Nigerian artist Davido and his fiancée Chioma had lost their 3-year-old son, David Adedeji Adeleke Junior, 9 people have been arrested.
The nine arrested by the police in Lagos State in connection with little David's death include his nanny, the house cook and other house staff members. However, investigations are still on-going.
Davido's only son who celebrated his 3rd birthday about a week ago, drowned on Monday, October 31, 2022, inside the family’s swimming pool in Banana Island, Lagos. The young boy was rushed to the hospital but was announced dead at the Lagoon Hospital in Ikoyi upon arrival.
The "Assurance" hit maker and his long term girlfriend Chioma had travelled to Ibadan for a family gathering and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can’t explain how he got into the pool unnoticed for such a long while and eventually drowned.
A week ago, while celebrating his son's birthday, Davido penned a heart warming message for the little boy.
He wrote; "I pray with all my heart that God grants you perfect health and pure happiness for as long as humanly possible. You will grow to be greater than Me, Happy birthday, son."
Davido has two other kids (two girls) with two different baby mamas.
