Media personality Njogu Wa Njoroge has for the first time spoken out about having a special child.

While attending a fundraising ceremony at AIPCA in Nyeri county, Njogu spoke about having a disabled child.

This is the first time he is speaking about his family in the public.

Njogu said he was shocked to learn that the girl has the same name as his mum something that touched his heart and pledged to support her get the right medication.

"I know the pain that my parents are going through since I have a special kid in a wheelchair. It is hard to raise such a kid," he said.

"My mum is called Mary Nyawira just like that child. Could it be the plan of God for us to meet this child? We will look for a way to support that child. We will take her to the hospital. I will be calling her my mum."

The media personality has managed to keep his family out of the limelight.

In 2020, he hit the headlines after he married Kikuyu gospel singer Mary Lincoln as his second wife.

Their relationship was made public after photos of their traditional wedding went viral.

Their traditional wedding was attended by top Kikuyu celebrities, among them musician Samidoh and comedian Muthee Kiengei.

Others who attended the event were popular Kikuyu gospel artistes among them; Ben Githae, Karangu Muraya, and Regina Muthoga among others.
