City Tycoon Jimna Mbaru has been trending after it emerged that he had been sued for child support by his 24-year-old-lover.

The businessman is rarely seen in public but he still manages his businesses away from the limelight.

The case of him being sued by a 24-year-old has left us with questions about who Jimna Mbaru is. Here are things you did not know about him.

  • Jimna Mbaru was born in Muranga  75 years ago, He lost both his parents and all his siblings.
  • He attended Kirogo Secondary School.
  • Jimna used to sell scrap metal while in Primary school to make ends meet.
  • In high school, Jimna used to sell scones to his schoolmates.
  • In Campus he used to trade in the stock exchange, he would also act as a 'shylock'  by lending people money.
  • He holds a Master's in Business Administration.
  • He has experience in investment banking.
  • Jimna is a father of two, a son and a daughter. He was recently sued by a woman he allegedly sired a son with. The boy is aged four.
  • He unsuccessfully vied for Nairobi Governor in 2013.
  • He has written a book dubbed 'Transforming Africa: New Pathways to Development.'
  • Jimna enjoys listening to Classical music unlike men his age who love Rhumba.

A 24-year-old recently sued Jimna Mbaru for child support for their 4-year-old-son.

The woman is demanding Sh4.4 million for upkeep.

The four-year-old is currently attending an international school in Kajiado where she says the school fees of Sh600,000 per year. 

She wants the Sh320,000 monthly upkeep which she has broken down as follows:

Food- Sh50,000

Medical - Sh50,000

 Clothes - Sh50,000

 Shopping - Sh100,000

 House Help- Sh50,000

Miscellaneous- Sh20,000.

The 24-year-old mother says she met the businessman in 2017.
