Following the arrest of Mwendo Mailu, the fake GSU who made a viral video alleging to have funded YouTuber Mungai Eve, Sauti sol's Bien has come out to share his two cents on the matter.

According to Bien such instances are a result of comedian Eric Omondi encouraging people to use clout and gimmicks to propel themselves or sell their content.

Speaking on the arrest the 'Inauma' hitmaker plainly said, "This guy is a disciple of Eric Omondi."

Before he went on to add, "This is what happens when you consistently push the agenda of empty showbiz and gimmicks. Real people get hurt."

Bien and Eric have been at loggerheads ever since the comedian started fighting for Kenyan entertainers.

Omondi accused Kenyan entertainers of being lazy - allowing Nigeria and South African stars to dominate the music scene.

He went ahead to encourage artists to use clout to sell their content with an explanation that showbiz need not be boring.

On Friday, Mungai Eve's advocate said some companies were threatening to end their relationship with his client of the viral video.

"The video has serious untruth and defamatory statements.

"My client has made her brand through hard work and she feels whoever wants to jeopardize that must face the law.

Adding that; "The accused is facing charges of impersonating a police officer, defamation He has no record of the things he has accused my client of. "

The advocate says despite offering an 'apology' the damage had already been done due to how viral the video went.

"We have confiscated his equipment they will undergo forensic tests as he awaits his appeal on Monday."

The guy is currently being detained at Kileleshwa Police Station.
