Njugush explains the meaning of his sons' Kikuyu names

Timothy Kimani alias Blessed Njugush has explained why he prefers giving his children Kikuyu names.

While speaking to Mpasho's writer, Elizabeth Ngigi, the father of two said his two sons names Tugi and Toria are very special to the family.

According to Njugush, Tugi means a gift from God while Toria means a conqueror.

"Toria since he is a conqueror and we all want to be winners in everything we do in our lives," he said.

Njugush said he prefers giving his children names that he understands the meaning behind them well.

"When choosing names, we chose in regard and meaning and I prefer doing it in Kikuyu. For me, I will go for the meaning and also, I want to look at my child in future and see the reflection of their names," he said.

A while ago, his wife Celestine talked about their first born wanting a sibling. She said the thought of adding another child was there but it was not happening until their son started praying about it.

"We had thought of having a baby for so long. We kept planning but it was not happening. We have waited for long and God maybe just answered our son's prayers," she said.

According to Nameless, together with his wife Wahu, they already know the gender of their child although they do not want to reveal it yet.

Nameless and Wahu have also not told their two other daughters about the gender of their sibling.

"Wahu and I already know the gender. The kids don’t know either but you will all know soon. They tell us their preference but we just laugh. We are yet to get a name but we throw suggestions around to see what may stick," he said.

Nameless added that their third pregnancy is different from the other two.

"I look at the positive side of things. This pregnancy will force me to be younger for longer because when the baby comes, my habits have to change. I have to live healthy for longer. We’re more conscious as parents and know what our relationships with our children should be."

A while ago, a fan told the Wahu that he would wish if she welcomes a baby boy.

Omondi made the statement after Bien appeared on the top 100 most streamed songs on Kenya Apple music as the only Kenyan artiste.

''So Apple Music released the Top 100 Songs in Kenya and only two are Kenyan and both belong to this guy!!! Let me explain to you why Bien is the only Kenyan on this list," Omondi said in part.

The funnyman attributed Bein’s success to what he termed as 'showbiz'.

He went on to accuse Bien of being selfish with his craft as he doesn’t want to share the secret to his success with others.

However, in a quick rejoinder, the Sauti Sol member dismissed Omondi’s claims.

“You’re an idiot. Honestly, what are you even saying? 95% of the artists on that list are not doing gimmicks. They’re simply putting out songs. Show me a gimmick in my life.

Bien sought to clarify that he has always worked hard to be where he is right now.

“I have only always made music. You’ve pushed this agenda for too long. Willy Paul doesn’t have to date all those women he has worked with. Jovial did not have to date Mario.
