On 26 September, Abel Mutua and his wife Judy Nyawira were in a meeting planning their day when the phone rang endlessly. The couple was unable to pick up the calls owing to the urgency of their meeting.

In his latest YouTube video, Abel told fans, that the phone calls were from a fan who wanted to end his life.

"We couldn't pick up the phone because at the time we were in meetings all day. but we intended to call back after the meeting knowing it could be a customer," Mutua said. 

They found six missed calls. Later, Abel's wife spoke to a man who told her that it was too late to return the call because he had made up his mind.

"I don't think this world is for me anymore " It hit Abel and Judy that something deeper was troubling the caller and he was not reaching out to complain about their merchandise.

"If you heard his tone of voice he sounded very distressed,".

Judy asked the male caller how she could help him and and that when he revealed he wanted to talk to Abel desperately after failing to reach him severally.

Mutua took the phone from Judy and the caller in question now identified as as Polycarp had arleady decided to end his life..

"He told me he doesn't know how to live I have no clue to go about life ,".

The filmmaker tried to convince him to hold on and open up some more, but it was a bit too late as he had given up on life.

The caller also revealed that he had a pregnant wife at home and was unable to provide for his family.

'Alifeel useless kwa hii life and also his parents home things are not good. He felt like his da was piling pressure on him that he couldn't handle he didn't feel the need to continue with life,"

Mutua asked the man to give his location so that they could locate him for help and he disclosed that he was along the Eastern bypass. 

He went to get the number of Polycarp's wife identified as Mary to share the update with her.

The reason for giving the wife's number? "He told me to tell the wife he could no longer take this life and tell her sorry amejaribu kuishi hii life but imekataa, he is at the end of the road".

Polycarp disconnected and attempts to reach him again was unsuccessful.

Abel reached out to Mary - Polycarp's wife- and they had a difficult conversation. It turned out that the couple was not on good terms.

Abel disclosed the suicidal threats to Mary who informed him they had quarreled the night before. 

This triggered Polycarp after he claimed she involved her side of the family. He left and later called Abel who was held up in a meeting.

Mutua called the local police station to get them to try and locate Polycarp. That was on 26th Sept.

Abel's video on 27th September told Kenyans that Polycarp is still missing.

"I want to appeal to anyone who knows Polycarp or has come across him wondering out there, please call his wife Mary, the number is on my YouTube or the cops. Any information will help"

Sadly, Polycarp called later in the day, to confirm that he was taking his own life. Immediately, his went off.

Abel remained hopeful that Polycarp would change his mind but he remained mteja through out..

On September 29th Abel updated that Polycarp had passed away. 

"Our fears have been confirmed. Polycarp is no more. We really tried our best. I guess our best wasn’t enough. Rest well Bruh."
