Brendah Jons, came out as gay in 2021 when she was having problems with her girlfriend at the time.

A year later and she has publicly said that she no longer identifies as a member of the community.

1. Brenda is an anti rape activist

Brenda has opened up about her sad experiences having been raped by a close relative.  From several TV and YouTube interviews, Brenda has been candid with the first assault coming when she was five "I have been a rape victim before, twice, and sexually assaulted once."

The painful experience has seen her launch a foundation to campaign against rape.

2. Her real name is Brenda Gathoni, but fans know her by moniker, Brendah Jons.

3. She is 25 years old.

4. Brendah gained fame with the 'plezident kingston' comic skits several years ago.

5.  In 2021, Brenda came out as a member of the LGBTQ community. Speaking with YouTuber Eve Mungai, the rib cracking comedian  admitted that her family and close friends had known about her sexual identity since 2016.

"I can't say I regret but I wish it never happened but I don't feel guilty. The reason why I don't even feel guilty is because I came out in 2016. My family knew who I was and how I roll. My friends knew, everyone in my circle knew, only the world didn't know because I am the kind of a person who can post on social media the whole day but probably you will not be able to tell the kind of life I live." 

In September 2021, she went on Instagram to rant about her romantic life and being cheated on.

A year later and the comedian has left that life behind. A few days ago, Brenda confessed that she was now a born-again Christian.

6. She also has a famous sister called Miss P who was once a signee on Willy Paul's Saldido Records.

7. Brenda is also an advocate for mental health.

8. She used to host a tv show alongside Dr Ofweneke on Startimes Rembo TV. Her stint on the Kupatana reality show ended abruptly.
