Award-winning rapper Khaligraph Jones has asked President-elect William Ruto to protect Azimio la Umoja’s Raila Odinga at all costs.

In the two-minute-long freestyle, Papa Jones reminded Ruto that he should prioritize reconciliation to enable the country to move forward as one.

"As you assume the role I hope you get this information. We are just from an election so country bado ni shaky, a lot of sadness imekuwa mtaa lately but this is from a good place so I hope you don't mistake me," Jones says in the first stanza.

The rapper went on to appeal to his fans not to hate on him for addressing the political situation in the country.

"And to my supporters, I also hope you won't hate me, but there is an issue that only you (Ruto) can address: reconciliation - that's what we need to start afresh," the rapper went on.

Papa Jones requests Kenyans to desist from abusing the former Prime Minister, saying he has been very instrumental in building Kenya as a Nation.

"Yes, a man of integrity put the country together coz chuki sahi si necessity. Baba is being attacked, people calling him names but you can change this narrative coz you've been through the same."

The rap song has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans, a section praising the rapper for putting out a well-articulated song.

"I know some of y’all don’t mess with content nowadays but pay Attention to that, Usiache Akemewe Freestyle, , Also on YouTube now," Papa Jones said.

Jones has joined the likes of Sauti Sol who are always addressing the political situation in the Country through their songs.

In August, the Boy band recruited several top Kenyan acts to remind Kenyans to vote wisely.

The group put out at least 5 songs sounding an alarm – reminding Kenyans they can make a difference in this country if they elect the right people into office.
