'Government is not family business anymore ' - Kithure Kindiki to Winnie Odinga

Winnie Odinga, Daughter to Azimio La Umoja party boss Raila Odinga has said she is not interested in defeat.

Through her Twitter account, she penned

"We are not interested in the possibilities of defeat, they do not exist." Queen Victoria. Sometimes I'll tweet politics, most times I'll tweet nonsense I enjoy."

She tweeted that she wasn't interested in the possibilities of defeat while the Supreme Court judges were making a ruling on the Presidential elections.

Kithure Kindiki told off Winnie saying she should now find a job given her dad is now 'jobless'.

"Have faith our god is alive. There shall be no re-run or repeat election. Let Winnie Odinga find work and keep herself busy. Government is not family business anymore. Jakom will retire peacefully in Bondo once done with Milimani law courts. Ruto the 5th president."

On a different Tweet Kindiki says Ruto's success is attributed to his faith in God.

"Ruto the 5th is a smart politician. He invested in God and the people not on who is who and the secret billionaires. The presidential petition temporarily delayed our confirmation. Karen is awash with servants of God ready to celebrate."

Reading the verdict on Monday, Chief Justice Martha Koome said Ruto garnered 50 percent plus one vote cast. 

Ruto had garnered 7.1m while Raila Odinga garnered 6.9m as declared by the IEBC.

The confirmation followed an intense 14-day process in which lawyers representing Azimio's Raila Odinga, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, and President-elect William Ruto did battle.

Outdoing Deputy President Ruto was declared President-elect on August 15 by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati.

Ruto garnered 7,176,141 votes (50.49 percent), defeating Azimio flagbearer Raila Odinga who had 6,942,930 votes, representing (48.85 percent).

He will be sworn in next week.
