Sheikh Abdalla Opiyo has advised men to only sire kids they can take care of.
He says that is what pushed him to have a vasectomy.
Speaking during an interview on Tuko, the father of four shared
"When my wife came she had a son.
So I wanted two more kids but my wife wanted five but I was against it. My wife has 3 kids. When she got pregnant for the third time I chased her away. There was a sitting and we agreed that we would not give birth to more kids."
Why did he want to have a few kids?
"I wanted a few kids to be able to provide for them. It is your responsibility as a man to take care of kids."
Sheikh says at first his wife was against the idea adding that with time she came around.
"They knew about my decision.
Vasectomy does not cripple you. After 2/3 weeks you are good to go."
Sheikh says contrary to what many believe kids can be a source of misery and poverty.
"Children contribute to poverty.
Some people believe kids are wealth. Some people understand that some kids only cause you misery.
Most people end up poor because of siring many kids without planning."
