Tanzanian songstress Zuchu says her first show when she was being launched was the hardest she has ever done.

The 'Sukari' hitmaker narrated that "When I went to perform for the first time, it was just visual, there wasn't audience because it was during corona. I had just rehearsed for a day."

Zuchu says she was exhausted and was other-thinking if people would accept her in the music industry or not.

"At the same time, I was supposed to finish a song and I was tired. When Diamond left the studio, I started crying and Mbosso would soothe me."

"I was tired and I was scared."

On the night of her first performance, she began to have a running stomach and would rash to the loo in between the show.

"Nilikua naharisha siku nzima. Hio ndio show ambayo mimi sitakuja kuisahau. Ilinipa uoga ambao sijawahi kupata." (I was having diarrhea the entire day. That's the show that I will never forget in my entire life. It gave me a certain kind of fear that I have never experienced before."

Adding

"Nilipokua nikiperform katikati ya breaki nilikua naenda chooni naharisha kisha narudi. Nilikua naogopa sana." (In between the breaks when I was performing, I would go to the washroom, have diarrhea, and come back. I was scared."

Zuchu was signed to Diamond's label WCB in February 2020. Her debut project was the 'I Am Zuchu' EP.

Since then the singer has hit the music charts with songs like 'Sukari' 'Mtasubiri' 'Fire' 'Mwambieni' and many others.

She made her first appearance as an artiste in 2015 at a Nigerian-based music competition.

She comes from a musical background as her mum is the legendary Taarab singer Khadija Kopa.

Recently, the Tanzanian songstress has been rumored to be dating her label boss Diamond Platnumz. Their recent videos and photos show that their chemistry is more than just a working relationship.
