Rayvanny & Diamond make it to list of top 20 African Artists (Full List)

The List is based on career consistency, social media numbers, streams, and revenue.

Every year, Forbes Africa releases a list of the top 20 African artists based on career consistency, social media numbers, streams, and revenue.

The 2022 list is out and only two East African artists; Diamond Platnumz and his former signee Rayvanny appear among the 20 musicians complied by Forbes Africa.

Vanny Boy and Chibu Dangote appear on the list at number 11 and 12 respectively. Platnumz who is among the most successful musicians from Tanzania also holds the number one spot for the most awarded artiste in East Africa.

On the other hand, Rayvanny, who has been shining on a global scale, became the second artiste in East Africa to win a BET Award back in 2017.

The Next Level Music (NLM) President joined was signed by WCB Wasafi in 2016, his first hit single Kwetu. In 2021 he founded his record label and signed his first artiste called Macvoice.

Diamond is one of the most endorsed artists in East Africa, working with big brands like Airtel, Belaire, Pepsi, and Coca-Cola.

According to Forbes Africa, these musicians (on the list)  have successfully told the African experience using everything from Amapiano to Afrobeats, drawing attention from listeners throughout the globe and causing them to sit up straight for African music.

Their professional accomplishments have not only brought them accolades and fame on a global scale but also increased the value of their possessions.

Top on the list is Benin singer and Grammy award winner Angelique Kidjo, followed closely by Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Davido, South Africa’s Master KG, and Major League DJz.
