Ugandan Comedian Anne Kansiime has revisited her broken marriage that lasted for only four years.

In her latest interview with Uganda blog Bump Love, Kansiime said she was told by her ex that marriage is not a comedy like her career.

Kansiime explained that one day she told Ojok that she didn't see marriage in her future plans and he just brushed it off.

"I don't see marriage….. I feel like I'm not working towards [it]," Kansiime said she told Ojok, who thought she was in comic mode.

"He always knew I was a comedian before anything else… and he told me, not everything in life is comedy!"

She would marry Gerald Ojok in 2013 but in 2017 she would announce via Facebook that they were done. She confirmed the separation during a live and interactive Q&A session with her followers.

“OJ and I aren’t together anymore. Reasons why are we are not for anyone else to know but the two of us.”

Months later after public pressure, Kansime gave the reasons why.

-It was alleged that Ojok decided to end the marriage after Anne’s failure to get pregnant for him.

- She also disclosed that she was hurt because she paid her own dowry. On August 3, 2019, Anne Kansiime hosted Nana Kaga on her YouTube Channel.

The two were discussing their personal experiences with wedding meetings. Kansiime explained how she ended up paying her bride price, to make it easy for Mr. Ojok to marry her.

-Kansiime said she held onto the breakup news for a while.

‘’Actually, my relationship ended like six months before the whole world knew about it but the pressure kept it going for a while. If you are there and not happy and think you are doing for someone else come here and I’ll congratulate you cause you are wasting your own time," she said.

- She earned more than him. ‘’That’s a fact I earn much than him, but I don’t know if that is the reason he left. There could be other reasons that I will not get into,’’ she said.

- She also claimed she rushed into it and in the end, it didn’t work. In 2019 she said,  “My plan was to study and graduate, get a job and finally get a man. But that was not the case,” Kansiime told Radio Jambo.

Adding

“OJ and me are not together anymore. Reasons why are not for anyone else to know but the two of us.”
