Sauti Sol's Savara Mudigi says working on releasing music alone has not been a walk in the park
You all remember that the band Sauti Sol went solo in 2021 and each has been releasing its projects.
In a recent interview with SPM Buzz, Savara said he misses the teamwork that he experienced while working with Sauti Sol members.
"I never understood how to exist as a solo artist. I have been in the government of Sauti Sol. Sauti Sol has taken me everywhere in the world. The vibe we share is great. We have a selfless brotherhood. I have spent more life with them than my siblings," he said.
"It is a different journey but you live and learn. It has made me realize myself and has described me even more."
Savara added that finding similar energy has been the biggest challenge.
"We shared roles but right now it is about me. I was used to having people representing me but right now, it is all about me."
Savara advised solo artists to always have a good team.
"Getting a good team is not easy. You get some who are competent but they don't have good energy. You can't do everything alone. Share responsibilities with others."
Savara also shared his passion for the sports world.
He said he would be a footballer if he did not become an artist.
"Maybe a doctor or a scholar. I played football and I went up to Norway. There was not so much seriousness."
When announcing that they were splitting, the group members, Bien, Chimano, Polycarp, and Savara made it clear that they were not disbanding as a group.
