Obinna, the kiss FM breakfast show host, has gone through hell and high water since he clung to the Co-host position at Kiss 100.
Netizens have been vocal about him being the most boring host and he was not well deserving.
It was about time the father of four addressed the issue, speaking to Mungai Eve he said,
"Comedy or funny is relative, to someone I am funny, to someone I'm not, we appeal to different people.
However, they did an interview where they brought a couple of people and I beat all of them hands down. Even before they called this group of people they compared a long list of people.
Do you think kiss is run by my friend or brother who wakes up in the morning and goes like, who do I call, I know Obinna, No!
Its research, they sit down and ask who is more relevant. You know radio is not about scripting, it's about spontaneity, being informed, being on the go, and being witty.
So if am not that to you, it is not a me problem, it's a you problem because my boss is fine, I'm fine, my co-host is fine, and we have fun and I get paid and am not paid 2sh.
So for someone to sit down and pay me every month and just give me money and say okay, keep doing what you are doing, means there is something am doing right."
Obinna got the envied position after Jalang'o stepped down to venture into politics.
Some of the people that were considered suitable for the role were; 2mbili who is a content creator and comedian, and Dr. Ofweneke who is a comedian and show host.
