Author Ngugi wa Thiongo's son rubbishes fathers death claims

Kenyans unfortunately woke up to the news that Kikuyu author Ngugi wa Thiongo had died. Condolence messages were shared by those who love him, but his son Mukoma has cleared the air.

Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o is a Kenyan Kikuyu writer and academic who writes primarily in Gikuyu and who formerly wrote in English. His work includes novels, plays, short stories, and essays, ranging from literary and social criticism to children's literature.

Mukoma dispelled the notion that his famous dad had passed on. Mukoma is also an author as well and a poet.

Mukoma Wa Ngugi is an Associate Professor of Literatures in English at Cornell University and the author of The Rise of the African Novel.

He wrote,

"Not again with the death rumors! Baba @NgugiWaThiongo_ is here - talking to him as I write this. To be sure, death is inevitable for all of us - but there is no need to invite it sooner."

Churchill - A UK-based blog claimed that the comedian cum radio presenter had been involved in a grisly accident along Mai Mahiu-Suswa road. They even went on to showcase an SUV that had been crashed before eulogizing him and giving Intel from the police and relatives. Churchill had to switch off his phone to avoid having to repeat himself to the many worried people.

OJ - David Mugo who is popularly known as OJ from Citizen’s Tahidi High was said to have died at home after experiencing respiratory problems. Written by an anonymous blog in search of a number the story was initially about the late Kevin Rost, another Tahidi High member of the cast, who passed on after a short illness but it was twisted to make it look like it was OJ. It seems Tahidi High has its fair share of internet murders as Omosh has also been virtually killed due to drinking.
