The results of the August 9 elections in Mathare Constituency did not go down so well for Bahati.

The singer-cum-politician lost to Azimio's preferred candidate.

According to results released, Incumbent Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch of ODM retained the seat after garnering 28,098 votes against UDA’s Billian Ojiwa's 16,912 and Jubilee’s Kevin Kioko Bahati's 8,166.

Bahati's nemesis Willy Paul has congratulated Anthony Oluoch, throwing major shade at Bahati.

On his Instagram, Willy Paul noted

"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate two of my good friends. First, congratulations to the one Antony Oluoch for Winning the MATHARE MP SEAT. You are what the people of MATHARE need sir.

You must have really done a good job sir, retaining that seat is not easy! Keep pushing, MATHARE is my home and I'm glad it's in Safe hands again."

Bahati and Willy Paul both grew up there, and for the singer not to support his peer tells us a lot.

Bahati reacted to losing hotly contested Mathare Parliamentary seat to Anthony Oluoch, saying he was disappointed.

He alleged a rigging plot.

Through his social media pages, Bahati who vied for the Mathare MP seat claims plans to rig him out of the Mathare parliamentary seat are underway.

"Three days since voting happened, 21 ballot boxes tampered with. I have been waiting to be declared the winner and to be handed over the official certificate as the Mathare MP-elect," he said.

Bahati added;

"Dear I.E.B.C. We Need Answers!!! Everything is at Stand Still at The St. Teresa's Tallying Centre and We can Sense Rigging Plans... TELL US WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!"
