• Akothee says she used to judge suicidal people until she got depressed.
• She says people assume she can't get stressed or depressed because she is wealthy.
Akothee has opened up about battling depression.
The mother of five said that at the time she would receive calls from her family members and cry.
Through a social media post, she says she used to judge people who took their lives until she experienced what they go through.
"When your mind goes to a deep rest ( DEPRESSION) mental illness has no shame nor class Never underestimate the power of negative thinking.
I used to judge those who commit suicide until I lost my mind and realized that, once you lose your energy to the negative environment, and you can't breathe or sleep anymore, there is no reason to live.
Have you ever felt alone in a world full of people? I still can't understand."
Akothee went on to add that when depressed nothing makes sense.
Sharing her experience the mother of five says she once asked the doctor to inject her into eternal sleep.
"When nothing makes sense anymore and you craving for sleep, is nothing to joke about.
I remember asking the doctor if He can inject me with a very strong medicine so I can sleeeeeeeep without waking up.
I was crying like a child for sleep. No one could understand me and I insulted them in my heart If I picked up a phone of a loved one I would just start crying, I also didn't know I was into this mess."
Things only got better after the artist started getting better once she identified the cause of her problems.
"It Took me, self-love, to start Addressing what is ailing me.
I took a pen and some paper.
wrote down all the things that drain my energy and cover my mind. I spoke to myself and consulted a few people. I had to make drastic decisions however hard they could be.
Trust me, I FEEL GOOD LIFE IS SWEET.90% of people are battling depression and yet they don't know how to address it."
