Betty Kyallo opens up on how she fell in love with Dennis Okari

Betty's former colleague Edith Kimani said she saw the ex-lovers start dating.

Media personality Betty Kyallo has revealed how her love with with ex-husband Dennis Okari started.

Betty and Dennis worked at KTN news at the time when Betty was new in the media industry.

The mother of one said she always wanted to read news although her journey was not easy.

Betty said that although she wanted to be a news anchor, she did not know how to use an auto cue but her baby daddy Dennis Okari helped her.

She admits she had no clue of what was next for her career, but she kept practicing to sharpen her anchoring skills.

"I could not read the auto cue so Dennis Okari, my ex was the one who actually helped me read the auto cue. I think that is how we fell in love," she said.

"I used to go to the studio and practice so many times and everyone was like Betty you have it."

Former colleague Edith Kimani said she saw the ex-lovers start dating.

"They used to play in the studio, touching each other but when they were on the news desk, they were very serious."

Kimani said Betty had the talent but Dennis Okari pushed her to do it.

Betty added;

"He coached me well. He was the one who actually taught me to do it. I have a lot of gratitude towards Dennis for helping me when I was starting out my anchoring career. But I gave him a daughter."

Lilian Muli recounted how she had been doing screen tests for so long before her boss asked her to present news at one oclock.

"I was told to present news because the person who was supposed to do it was not present. And then the auto cue failed me. It didn't work."

Betty also said she was in the newsroom and there was no one to read news.

"And then I was given a breakfast show."

Her colleagues described her as the most hardworking journalist who had passion in her TV job.

Aeedah Bambi said she was and is still one of the best TV girls in Kenya.
