A man has come forward to claim that he is Tanzanian singer Nandy's biological dad, and not the man she currently knows.
According to multiple Tanzanian blogs, the man is seeking out the recently wedded singer to confess what has been troubling him all these years.
The man, Charles Godfrey Mfinanga, spoke to Planet Bongo East Africa Radio who told that his claims are legitimate.
"My name is Charles Godfrey Mfinanga, Nandy's mother disappeared when she was pregnant with my daughter. I was busy as a church leader and could not find time to look for them. Also at that time there were no phones to call."
Nandy's real name is Faustina Charles Mfinanga.
But the man who raised her was called Frank Mfinanga, the brother to Charles. Frank died in 2019.
Charles added, "I saw it fit I come forward and reveal myself so that she either accepts me or rejects me. I am her biological dad and the other one was the one who raised her."
Charles told that Nandy's aunty was jealous of his relationship and is to blame for the separation.
"Nandy's mother and I never had any relationship problems that would have made her run away. It's only Nandy's aunty who was jealous and planned to take away my wife and daughter, to work as a domestic worker in an undisclosed location."
The man is demanding to be recognized by the singer and her family.
"There's one thing I want to tell Nandy is, if she doesn't want to recognize me it's okay nampa baraka zote lakini ajue ni damu yangu."
Nandy and Billnass tied the knot July 16, at the KKKT Church in Mbezi Beach, Dar es Salaam. Nandy has grown up worshipping in this church.
