Kenyans, family members, friends and colleagues of the late Maina Olwenya are yet to come to terms with the actor's sudden death. One of his close friends, Jackie Awinja held him close and referred to him as her brother.
In her recent Instagram post, Awinja shared that she is still in deep pain after viewing the thespian's lifeless body.
She shared a number of photos of the two together from back during their acting days, a clear indication the two were close buddies who hanged out a lot.
A heartbroken Awinja wrote, Mbaba!! Mbaba!! Aki mbaba ile kitu umetufanyia! 💔 Words fail me, seeing your lifeless body yesterday did hit hard!…. R.I.P see you on the next stage Banyenjez, thank you for sharing your BRILLIANT UNMATCHED TALENT with Us! @mainaolwenya"
Awinja went ahead to call on her fans and followers to send their contributions to ensure that Maina gets a decent send off.
