Talented Gospel musician Evelyn Wanjiru has opened up about the pain she went through in a long period of time when she and her husband were trying to have a baby without success.
The multi-award-winning singer, was speaking to Radio Jambo's Massawe Japanni where she revealed that it took her a decade of being married for her to get her first child.
She said the issue of childlessness began to bother her after six years of being married.
"After six years I started to wonder why I wasn't conceiving. My period would be gone in three to four months. I went to the hospital where the doctor prescribed medicine to help me get my period on time," Wanjiru told Massawe.
The musician said she began to worry after seeing that she and her husband were getting older. She admitted that it pained her to realize that in her case, it was impossible for her to give her husband a baby.
"As I turned 30 I felt very nervous. That was when my heart started worrying," she said.
