'I have always been dumped by girls,' Govi opens up

• Govi said his first girlfriend was a high school sweetheart but the girl dumped him after high school.

• Govi said he was in another relationship two years ago, but the girl ended up cheating on him with other men.

Former Machachari actor Govi says he has been heartbroken in most of his relationships.

Speaking to Buzz Central, Govi opened up that he has only been in two serious relationships.

Govi, however, said that he has been in many 'situationship' which never worked.

He explained that his first girlfriend was a high school sweetheart. He was 18 years then but the girl dumped him after high school.

"I take dating very seriously but I have been in many situationships. My first time dating I was 18 years, she was my high school sweetheart but when we finished high school everything changed and she left me," he said.

Govi added that even in the situationships that he has been in before, he has never dumped a girl.

"It really means a lot to me to love someone. I tried to make it work but she didn’t want to, maybe because of my celebrity status," he said.

Govi said he was in another relationship two years ago, but the girl ended up cheating on him with another man.

"Then I met my ex in 2020 but it was not a good experience, it was good while it lasted. I felt it was disrespectful, we were many and I was a simp to her. Even if she did anything I was okay with it," he said.

"I’m into older girls which means a year or a day older not wamama."

Govi said he does not post his relationship to the public since he does not want his personal life to dilute his career.

He also comes from a laid-back family.

"I am a man who comes from a laid-back family with no drama. To top it all, on my mum’s side of the family, we have ministers and pastors," he said.

"My dad is a Muslim but they are also spiritual. I also realised if I was to post it will no longer be about my projects and work and guys will not go watch my productions, it will be about ‘Malik Girlfriend’.

I also don’t want to subject someone’s daughter to that, they’re some girls who just want you for you."
