Four Radio Africa shows nominated for AMT awards

The AMT awards recognizes maritime, road, aviation and railway sectors

• Nominated shows include Classic 105's Maina and King'ang'i in the morning

• This Award is open to radio stations that provide much needed precautionary information on the road

Three of Radio Africa shows have been nominated for the Afrika Mashariki Transport awards. The AMT Awards will recognize and celebration the maritime, road, aviation and railway sectors.

Well, Classic 105's Maina and King'ang'i in the morning, Kiss FM's The Morning Kiss, Radio Jambo's Gidi Na Ghost and Homeboyz radio's Boyz's Club have been nominated as the Radio Drive Show of the Year.

This Award is open to radio stations that provide much needed precautionary information on the happenings on our roads including but not limited to road incidents, accidents, road maintenance,closures and other activities affecting road users.

The shows provide accurate, on-time, relevant and as much information as possible to the listeners and road users.

The voters will be looking at the station that best delivers this information and be satisfied that these information helps them make the best decision that will get them to their destination safely and on time while using the road.

Other categories include Matatu Sacco of the year, male and female drivers of the year, male and female conductor of the year, Boda Boda rider of the year, male or female traffic police of the year among others.
