Citizen TV sports journalist Bernard Ndong has quit the station after a 13-year stint.
On Saturday night, Bernard held his last assignment at the station.
There after he was treated to a surprise farewell cake and good luck messages from his colleagues.
Victoria Rubadiri welcomed other staff members to cut a farewell cake and share their farewell messages.
Sports Editor Mike Okinyi remembered when Ndong who worked in the sales department was asked to do a screen test as a sports news anchor.
Okinyi then wished him well in his next move.
"It was three weeks of hard training, back and forth and when I sent the clip to our then boss Farida Karoney she said I take you for sports," he said.
"You have developed into one of the strongest people I have worked with. Farewells are never easy and we wish you all the best."
Waihiga Mwaura shared: "You are a brother and you know the journey we started together 13 years ago. I remember when we once went out on a trip and there was no place to sleep, and that's when our friendship was built. The citizen sports desk will not be the same."
On social media, Lulu Hassan said she would miss Ndong'
"All the best Nding Ndong.... You will be missed."
Rashid Abdalla wrote; "All the best bro. Mungu akutangulie."
Journalist Francis Gachuri said he would miss seeing him around.
"We are poorer with your departure but we are also happy with your growth…bitter sweet… but the sweet is more than the bitter. Go ye and excel. Go in peace to serve the world."
Mukami Wambora thanked Ndong for his guidance when she joined the media house.
