• Kyallo Kulture is a 13-part reality series on Showmax

• Mercy Kyallo was like, 'Okay, fine. I think we can actually do it.' She was like as long as it is not your show it is our show. '

And I was like snapppppp.

So I just told her, 'You know what? We will just make sure that this is gonna be all about us, it's not about Betty Kyallo,  it's a great platform for all of us to shine.'."

The famous Kyallo sisters have a new reality TV show on Showmax.

Kyallo Kulture is a 13-part reality series that dives into the personal lives of Betty Kyallo, one of Kenya’s most prominent media personalities and a thriving entrepreneur, and her bold sisters, Mercy and Gloria Kyallo.

Speaking at the launch on Thursday, June 16, Betty opened up about what it took to get her sisters to sign on.

"My sister Mercy, she is very strong and we  have different conflicts because we are two strong personalities."

Betty though defended Mercy adding,

"Mercy is very opinionated but you know she is such a sweet person. She is a person who is going to be by your side. Like she will say, 'Hey you guys come over to my house, I'm gonna do a barbeque for you!'."

How did Betty get her sisters on board?

"Well, it wasn't easy to convince my sisters.  We feel like there is something for us to give. Let me start with Gloria because it is easier to convince her.

Mercy is harder, so Gloria was like I want to live a quiet life then I was like chick we gotta make money so Gloria was a bit hesitant.

But then Mercy was like, 'Okay, fine. I think we can actually do it.' She was like as long as it is not your show it is our show. '

And I was like snapppppp.

So I just told her, 'You know what? We will just make sure that this is gonna be all about us, it's not about Betty Kyallo,  it's a great platform for all of us to shine. Why not.'."

Mercy agreed explaining why she signed on.

"The three of us, we have never done anything together so this is a first and we all have different types of fun. What I think is it's gonna be different? We gonna see a different side of Betty. I think we will see a funny side to Betty, I think you are super  hilarious."

Mercy then explained why Betty thinks she wouldn't agree to be in a reality show.

"I was very scared to do a reality show of course but then at least she brings so much humour to the show yaani you even feel comfortable to just put yourself out there."

What does Mercy think will be different about the show?

"I think we are going to be very candid about how we are and our life struggles and our happiness. It's  very candid and it is just the experience of an African woman in this day and age."

Youngest sister Gloria also gave her thoughts on what fans should expect.

"I feel like out of all my sisters I'm the shy one. But I feel like my friends are giving me a look because they know I'm very very loud and I know I can be a lot annoying."

Gloria added, "I think it's really taking a toll on my life because I'm not really having a lot of time to spend with my friends and obviously the person that I'm dating so yeah it's really different."

Her fame has seen her recognized in public.

"Yeah so far, I'm really getting used to it and my sisters are really teaching me a lot of things as you can see."
