All-male boys band Sauti Sol has experienced first-hand the effects of the Ukraine war.

In a press statement, Sauti Sol members - Bien Aime, Savara, Chimano and Fancy Fingers - announced that they have to cancel their Europe tour.

They explained that the visa application process has been affected greatly by the ongoing Ukraine War, hence the reason why they cannot make it for the various Europe tour dates.

Heatbroken, the band said in a statement: "It is with the utmost regret that we have to once again postpone our shows in Europe.

Despite applying in time, we are informed by the UK embassy that delays occasioned by the Ukraine Crisis has made It increasingly difficult to procure the necessary travel visas in a timely manner.

It is with heavy hearts that we disappoint our fans end only hope to make it up to everyone that looked forward to joining us."

However, all is not lost, the band announced that they are working on ways to get new dates.

"We are working with the UK venues and promoters to have the rescheduled dates announced next week when we have word of when the UK visas will be granted.

All tickets will remain valid."

Kenyans in the diaspora were not amused, here are some of their reactions.

shiro4real: Again and again .....So so disappointing... Your management is letting you down. By the time you sort all this mess, no one will want to buy your tickets coz all you have been consistent with is letting your fans down.

jessygabrielle: How do I get a refund?

youngkenyafitness: Worth the wait

joanwairimukanja: Seriously my friends from Ireland took visas to come for the concert. My gosh

chefmutuma: So the Ukraine crisis is affecting the visa process of Kenyans to travel to the Uk πŸ€¦πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈ

d.i.c.h.o.l: I hope this ain't azimio aki

mkayfashionhouse: I like how effective your communication isπŸ‘

atieno_lavina: After buying tickets and booking hotel, never doing this again, very very disappointed.

oliveelmer: At this point is not even about the refund.. I was sooooo looking forward to seeing youoooo 😭😭😭😭😭

tamara.adhiambo: This is just disrespect at this point. Also, we've not forgotten Dec 2020 which they blamed on COVId and never refunded

allan_bash: @bienaimesol @itsmefancyfingers Your management poor planning has done it again.Talk to @mejjagenge management lol maybe you guyz need to take notes coz they were well prepared and we had good show at the rugby afterparty event last month. Please next time don't post, sell tikos,or hype an event before you get your visas....

angobb_: Sorry guys πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’” the delays for passports and visas have been crazy.

allan_bash: This is not the first time you guys are disappointing the UK fans. This must be either the fourth or fifth time this is happening. This shows poor planning from your management side, yes there is a backlog of the visa process but didn't they learn from the previous shows you cancelled or postponed πŸ€”? Lastminute.com doesn't work out here FYI. People out here plan for weeks to come for your shows that means travelling, hotel bookings etc. Inaitwa kujipanga. A good example is @bongodeejays promoters always deliver by ensuring that artist from Kenya or East Africa are sorted on the visa side even before they post.

afuathescot: Gutted! But can’t wait to see you guys perform soon - we’re anticipating ❀️20h6 likesReply

le.sane: Wuehhh! Emotional Damage20h2 likesReply

dona_achieng: Not again! I missed the last one coz it was cancelled, new dates couldn't work for me, and now this, I've literally made my whole weekend free for this and then this happens! I give up!

pesainvest: You all need to be investigated, there’s always a show postponement with you in the UK after fans have bought thousands of tickets. Maybe time we raised a compliant to the Home Office.

gum_ix: Sio kwa ubaya lakini kwani visa inatoka Ukraine?
