Radio Africa, the parent company for Mpasho.co.ke is up for multiple awards after its many radio stations were nominated for multiple prizes Afrika Mashariki Transport Awards.
Radio Jambo, Kiss100, and Classic105 have all been nominated for the Radio Drive Show Of The Year.
The award is open to radio stations that provide much-needed precautionary information on the happenings on Kenyan roads including but not limited to road incidents, accidents, road maintenance, closures, and other activities affecting road users.
According to the organisers of the award, the show must be one that not only has a wide reach, but also provides accurate, on-time, relevant, and as much information as possible to the listeners/ road users.
The voters will be looking at the station that best delivers this information and is satisfied that this information helps them make the best decision that will get them to their destination safely and on time while using the road.

The (Afrika Mashariki Transport Awards ) AMT will open with a recognition and celebration moment featuring 5-minute clips from the maritime, road, aviation, and railway sectors.
This will be a highlight moment where each sub-sector will get to highlight their success stories for the last 10 years in video form and enhanced by dance and or other creative ways.
They will also highlight the actions they have made so far to improve the sector. These may be in form of policies, innovation, strategy, hiring, growth, resource allocations, statistics, testimonials, initiatives, projects, expansion among others.
