Diamond doesn't own an island! Mwijaku alleges

Mwijaku alleges that Diamond doesn't own the island unlike what Wasafi claimed

• Diamond was seen in a video clip walking around an island in Zanzibar with Wasafi saying that he had bought it.

• Clouds FM/ TV presenter Mwijaku who is famous for his inside information disputed those claims.

Diamond Platnumz shocked fans this past week when he hinted that he had bought a private island, something that Tanzanian media also pushed hard.

Even Wasafi media( which is owned by Diamond) claimed that the 'African Beauty' singer bought the island for a cool Tsh1.8 billion (Ksh92 million).

The rumours added that the Diamond would be putting up a high-end hotel on it.

But it seems that those reports that the musician bought an island in the Zanzibari archipelago aren't true.

This is according to Clouds FM/ TV presenter Mwijaku who is trusted for his expose's. The popular entertainer commented on an Instagram post by Wasafi FM presenter Baba Levo and said that Diamond didn't own an island.

He alleged that it was a Kenyan investor who had appointed Diamond to be the face of the project.

“Kawadanganyeni wasio jua ukweli #Mwambino hana uwezo huo autoe wapi. Au nimtaje mmliki? Kumbe siku hizo ukiambiwa na Wakenya usimamie kitu basi ni chako?” (Deceive those who do not know the truth. Or should I mention the owner? But in those days if you were told by Kenyans to take care of something then it was yours?)

Even if Diamond doesn't own the building, he certainly has the wherewithal to buy an island considering his estimated net worth.

This year, well-renowned valuers, Forbes Magazine, listed Chibu as one of the richest musicians in Africa.

They postulated that the 'Naanzaje' hitmaker was worth a cool $ 7 million dollars (Sh817,600,000) and was the richest musician in Tanzania.

Diamond was ahead of Vanessa Mdee who Forbes said was worth $ 6 million dollars (Sh 700,800,000) and AliKiba who placed 3rd with a reported net worth of $4.5 million dollars (Sh525,600,000).
