Award-winning musician Karen Lucas stepped on toes after choosing to stand firm with the Alchemist, over racism allegations.

The Alchemist caused an uproar over the weekend after a video went viral showing what appears to be discrimination against black customers.

The video that circulated on social media showed the bouncers at the club had directed separate queues, allegedly according to their races, something the club denied.

Karen Lucas, an award-winning musician spoke out in support of the establishment.

In a series of posts, Kaz sought to clarify that she will not allow social media bullies to control how she should live her life.

She went on to threaten those who were trying to intimidate her with allegations that her intimate photos were all over the internet.

“In case you need more for your arsenal…here are some updated ones for you to share,” Kaz remarked.

Kaz further maintained that she is gay and proud of her sexual orientation.

“Well not explicit, but close, and yes I am gay and proud and loud and this is my very amazing partner,” she said.

1. She began her career in 1997 as a rapper/singer.

2. At just 14, Kaz amazed thousands during her first public appearance at the Nairobi Carnivore grounds, alongside Grammy award-winning rapper Coolio, where she took the title for the best overall rapper at an impromptu rapping competition held during his concert in Kenya.

3. She went to Braeburn Academy where her mother worked as a caterer in the school.

4. Karen Lucas became famous as Kaz from the hit TV reality show 'Project Fame' where she caused controversy with her antics.

5. In 2005, she won the East African Kisima award for Best Afro Fusion Artist of the Year, and in 2006, she was honoured to receive the African Kora award for Most Promising Female Artist in Africa.

6. She was also nominated for best actress in the 'Kalasha awards'. Kenya's first film award ceremony, for a short movie she starred in, in 2010.

7. Kaz was nominated for the AFRIMA(All Africa Music Awards) awards which were held in Lagos on the 9th November 2014.

8. In 2018, Kaz was awarded the Upindu award for her work of activism in the LGBTQ+ community.

9. Karen Lucas is in a polyamorous relationship with her partner Majic Dyke.

10. Her explicit intimate photos were once leaked and caused a lot of controversy.
