Kamene TV presenter Wanjiru Wa Maya has said she loves Mugithi Maestro Samidoh.
Before you get it twisted, Wanjiru loves Samidoh not like a woman in love but as a mentor.
Speaking during an interview with Ala C she said
" I used to sing in the house as I did my house chores.
One day Samidoh released the song 'Mumbi.'. My friend told me about it.
I went to You tube and saw the song, I shot the song
There is a time Samidoh was somewhere for an interview and he gave out his number, I wrote it down.
I asked my friend to shoot me while I sang the song."
Maya's video of Samidoh's song went viral and the 'Dire Mutwe Mwega' video artiste kept his word.
"When the song went viral Samidoh looked for me.
He called me while at Eastleigh. I couldn't believe it.
He asked to meet me on a certain day so that he could take me to the studio.
He told me to write my own song before we could do 'Mumbi's' remix. That is when I wrote the song 'Wendo Wa Masponsor' (sponsors Love)."
Maya shot the video and sent it to Samidoh who was very receptive to it. He reached out and helped her record a song
"I love Samidoh
He is the one who brought me to Nairobi, all the people I know is because of him.
Samidoh is the first person who paid for my first music video. I never paid a dime."
Samidoh was recently in the news after unveiling his newborn daughter with wife Edday, while completely ignoring the daughter with Karen Nyamu.
This move elicited sharp reaction, wigh some fans unhappy about it as others praised him for it.
