Aeedah Bambi, wife to Senator Anwar Loitiptip has rescued an 8-year-old girl who was set to be married off in Turkana.

Bambi took the action after a fan reached out explaining the severity of the situation.

"I have a girl, 8 years old whom they want to marry off and to undergo FGM sooner if I hear. You know the Samburu traditions and the most hurting thing is that she is so young. I really wanted her to go to school.

Does your organisation help in buying anything? If you could help me incur for uniform, and shopping, her parents are poor, just livestock keepers, I’m a student in my third year but I will be helping her where I can for now. She is still in manyatta but I wanted her rescued, even when if she can come to my place for now."Asked the fan

Through Aeedah Bambiś Foundation, the young mum was able to help the girl and even enrolled her in a good and secure boarding school.

"I enrolled her in a good boarding school to keep her away from anyone with intentions of putting her under FGM or early marriage. Let's help stop FGM and early marriages. Let us give kids the chance to learn like other kids and pursue their dreams," shared Bambi.

Aeedah Bambi Foundation is a Kenya Based Organisation she founded to empower and awaken the youth from poverty in Africa. 

Bambi and Senator Anwar have been together for several years. Their relationship became public after the two confirmed they had gotten married months after Anwar parted ways with Mike Sonko’s daughter Saumu Mbuvi.

The two had a wedding that was kept under wraps until when they both disclosed the news via their Facebook pages.
