Media personality and award-winning actor Nick Ndeda publicly broke up with his wife and content creator Muthoni Gitau in 2021 since they had outgrown each other.

Speaking to Buzz Central, Ndeda said It was time to pursue individual goals apart and no longer as a couple.

He said their divorce process is ongoing as they had officiated their union at Attorney General’s office.

"We are still in the process of divorcing. Marriage is very eye-opening. I think one thing that I was grateful for was the fact that even before we got married we were living together and there were no surprises," he said.

Ndeda said after appearing in the breakup video on Muthoni's YouTube, some people trolled him calling him a letdown to the male gender.

"I was called the biggest simp in Kenya even Amerix sent me a DM like ‘Dude do you need help?’ The reason for doing the video was because it was very public knowledge that we were together.

If I was to be seen with another woman or her with another man people would have said they were cheating on each other so we wanted to put it out there."

In the said video, Nick acknowledged that he was a little bit relaxed in pursuing their shared goals and Muthoni was making most of the effort.

On her part, Muthoni said she intended to explore the dating pool because she got into the relationship at 23 and skipped that experience.

"After 7 years, this feels like the best decision for both of us. The plan is to grow and heal as individuals as we evaluate what we want moving forward."

In the interview, Ndeda who underwent a vasectomy said he doesn’t want kids.

He, however, said that the fact that he does not want children does not mean he does not like them.

"My childhood was dope, I was pampered when I was young because I was the last born," he said.

"I don’t dislike children. I hang out with my nephews, and they are amazing. Sometimes, I go for shoots with kids, being on set with them and it is amazing. I like kids when I can give them to their parents."
