• "It is not only Huddah, I will run away from! If I see any woman coming at me with those similar intentions, I take off. I take off fast like Kipchoge, very fast. I'm very loyal to my wife." - Omanyala
Miss Huddah Monroe a while back asked Mpasho to hook her up with sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala.
She mused, "Omanyala is not so bad looking, hapa Kenya ni kama sitoki. @Mpasho connect hiyo date."
Well, the Olympic medalist has responded and he has opted to run in the opposite direction away from Huddah's advances. As fast as his legs can take him.
In a phone interview with Milele FM's Ankali Ray, Omanyala addressed the proposition.
He laughed off the question about him meeting Huddah and being friends.
He then said, "Shetani ashindwe! Huyo hata akituma nini bana hawezi nipata. Kitu anaweza pata maybe ni jina. Simtaki, nishafunga hiyo safari.
(The devil be defeated. She can never get me, the only thing she can get out of this is fame/infamy. I don't want her, I'm already taken, that part of my life journey is covered.)"
Asked if he can even consider her for a second wife.
Omanyala who is married to Laventa Omanyala and share a son together said, "Haiwezi, and unajua bibi yangu anamshinda kwa urembo sasa ninam chukulia nini?
(That is not possible, my wife is prettier than she is, so why would I take her as a second wife?)"
What if her proposition is for Huddah to be friends with you? He was asked.
"That will just land me in problems because that is how it starts and then it grows into something else. At the level I'm at, there are things you need to avoid."
Why are you so resistant, do you fear her or what is it?
Laughing Kenya's fastest man said, "You know a girl who has laid out her intentions in that manner is very tricky."
He explained that of late, he has been experiencing the same from most of his female fans. And all he wants is to avoid any trouble with the ladies.
"It is not only Huddah, I will run away from! If I see any woman coming at me with those similar intentions, I take off. I take off fast like Kipchoge, very fast. I'm very loyal to my wife."
Omanyala then offered to be Ankali's wingman and hook him with Huddah but he said, she would never look his way because he is not a sprinter of note.
In a social media post, Huddah warned her fans.
"Kenyans, nimekuja kuchukua mabwana zenu. I have come to steal your men. Swipe to the left we are back."
The socialite would later complain about black men being difficult to date since they are controlled by their mums.
"It’s too much hard work, you can easily go mental! And the reason is their mothers. Y’all women with sons, do better for the next generation of black men!”
