In July 2021, blogger Robert Alai was caught in an altercation with singer Ringtone on a road in Nairobi.
Then, Ringtone accused Robert of assaulting him and damaging his car.
On Monday, Ringtone was at the Kibera Law courts for a hearing of the case against Robert Alai.
Speaking to the press, Ringtone expressed disappointment in Robert Alai's lawyer not being present.
The singer said that he doesn't care how many times the case will be postponed but he will always avail himself till justice is served.
"I want to tell Robert Alai that it doesn't matter how many times you postpone the case, the fact is he assaulted me and the evidence is there, I don't care how many times they push the case forward but I am available unless they kill me!" said Ringtone.
"I was attacked in broad day light and I am a public figure and I was rescued by the members of the public. Nataka tuone vile Alai ata control court and if it is true that he can control the court yet Kenyans witnessed as he clobbered me then Kenyans should leave this country."
Ringtone says he is not in court to seek revenge against Alai but because he wants people to respect each other despite their social status, power or might.
In 2021, Alai was charged at the Kibera Law court for causing grievous harm to Ringtone where he denied both the charges and was released on a Sh 1 million bond or a cash bail of Sh300,000.
The case was due to be heard today at Kibera court but Alai's lawyer did not show up and Ringtone was not impressed at all.
As a result, the case was pushed to June 23rd, 2022.
