Entrepreneur Elon Musk this morning made a cryptic tweet, speaking about his death.
"If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowing ya"
The tweet attracted reactions and speculations on what might have crossed the mind of the businessman, or who could be haunting him.
His mother, Maye Musk warned him about the tweet.
'That's not funny," she responded.
Maye's tweet got the attention of Musk, who instantly apologized for his tweet and replied, though probably still as a joke. "Sorry! I will do my best to stay alive," he said
Elon responded to a fan who wrote that he won't die before his day
"Thank you for the blessing, but I’m ok with going to hell, if that is indeed my destination since the vast majority of all humans ever born will be there."
Other Twitter users made fun of his prediction.
@Edipyuksel - "Well you can't buy time, Elon. You will die like everyone, and go to your Lord. Life on this planet is way too short. Your money, wealth, Tesla, Twitter, and your followers will not buy you even a foot square in Heaven."
@DavidWohl - "Your Tweet just inoculated you against the very thing you're concerned about 90+ million people have got your back."
The Tesla boss will become Twitter CEO when the acquisition deal is complete.
The controversial billionaire is known to tweet all manner of opinions setting off debate about what his intentions are.
Most recently, he put the UN on the spot after an appeal for funding.
Elon Musk challenged the United Nations (UN) to show how $6 billion of his fortune could be used to overcome world hunger.
Elon dared the UN boss to make public just how funds will be used, and indicated he was ready to donate at any time this as done.
The plan to solve world hunger was and has up to date never been made public.
His tweets have also been known to affect the stock market.
