Bongo mega star Harmonize has jetted into the country ahead of the long weekend to headline a concert dubbed Afrika Moja Concert at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre on the 30th of April 2022.
The concert will also feature artists such as Lasaara (Kenya), Lesasa Joker (DRC Congo), Maima (Kenya), Emma Jalammo (Kenya), Ben Githae (Kenya) and many other opening acts.
Nairobi based entertainment and events company Melamani Limited said the motivation behind having the concert is because "it has been 2 years since the Covid pandemic and Africa as a continent has gone through so much.
As the month of May approaches where the continent celebrates its independence of the continent with Africa Day on May 25, 2022.
The Afrika Moja concert to be held on Labour Day weekend is the beginning of a month-long celebration of the continent’s triumphs, wins and achievements amidst all the difficulties. This annual concert will set off a celebration of African culture, and it will bring together artists from Kenya, Congo and Tanzania."
There will be cultural activities, food and ornaments available. It will be an outdoor event and strict Covid protocols will be strictly enforced. It starts at 6 pm and ends and 6 am.
