Yesterday evening, Bahati's wife, Diana Marua posted an image of her rarely seen father on her Instagram page.

The two could be seen smiling as cordially in each other's company. Diana's heartwarming caption read, "Love you Daddy ❤️."

Their photo together is rather interesting considering the complicated history between the two. This based on revelations that Diana has made about her father.

A few years ago the mother of two had claimed that her father was very violent. In an in-depth interview with True Love, Diana disclosed that she was happy when her mother left her dad, saying,

I don’t think my mom was ever happy. I remember she used to cry a lot. The home environment was tough. My father was extremely violent. I remember one time he came home late and angry and started raining blows on my mom while she was breastfeeding my younger sister. I was happy for her when she left,” narrated Diana Marua.

But things wouldn't end there according to Diana who added that things got worse when their mother left.

Looking back, I think my dad was bitter. If he had problems at work, he would come home and take out his anger on us,” said Diana.

In another post she made on social media the month before the True Love interview, Diana noted that she lacked a mother figure and that meant she had to assume that role for her siblings.

Our childhood was Tough. One I wouldn't wish to go back to regardless. Being raised by a single tough Dad, we lacked a mother figure all our life because of circumstances we couldn't change or control. I took a responsibility to be a 'mother' figure to my little sisters,” read part of her post.

I used to cry myself to sleep questioning God why things had to be this way for us... Not all days were tough, we held on to the little rays of sunshine that came our way occasionally... However, looking back, God is Good, God is Faithful. He made all things beautiful in His own time," she finished.
