Former Machakos first lady Lilian Ng'ang'a has cautioned political aspirants to take care of their mental well-being.

Lillian says the aspirants should be ready to handle the rejection that comes with loss and the failure to clinch a political seat. Through her socials she advised,

"Anybody running for office should be mentally prepared for after August 8th," she noted.

Adding,

"If you lose, the phone stops ringing, the crowd and groupies disappear, the 'Mheshimiwa' tag goes away etcetera. What and who will you be left with? Doesn't hurt to evaluate," she concluded.

Lilian had earlier called out creatives who are venturing into politics just because they are famous.

"Just because someone is popular(for whatever reason) doesn't mean they should run for office. Most of such have no intentions of serving the people... it's just chasing clout. Terrible!"

The ex-first lady has been very active on social media since her parting with Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua. Other celebrities who had showed an interest in vying for a political seat include;

Rufftone - Nairobi Senator.

Jalang'o -MP Langata.

Refigah - MP Kibra.

DNG- MCA - Woodley Kenyatta Golf Course Ward.

MC Jessy - MP South Imenti.

Juliani's wife thinks that bad politics leads to a bad life. In a past engagement with Kelebrity, Ng'an'ga noted that many of the youth are too focused on trying to make a living to focus on politics.

"Maybe they are just too busy looking for jobs to think about politics too much. I can see how this might be an oxymoron but it is the sad state of the time we are in. Bad/poor politics and leaders, no jobs. They go hand in hand."
