Rapper Khaligraph Jones has shared memories of his earlier days when he had low self-esteem because of what was happening in his life.

Speaking on Iko Nini podcast, Khaligraph addressed his 'fake english accent' which he sang about in the Invisible Currency album.

"By the time i finished primary...before joining high school alot of things happened in between. It put me in a place where I could not interact with people. For a very long time I had self esteem issues. Even when Iwas an upcoming musician, confidence would only come when I had the mic and was rapping," he said.

Khaligraph added that it is within that period that he took a break from schooling, and the fake English accent came by.

"I used to be someone who used to love hanging reading alot. Because i used not to hang around with guys alot, my confidence around people went down. So when i started being a butterfly and improving my personality, i started hanging around people and learning the english tweng and perfected it," Khaligraph said.

The rapper is well known for speaking and rapping in an English accent that is just different from other Kenyan English speakers.
