Sarah Kabu has recalled how she almost missed her engagement to estranged husband Simon Kabu.
Sarah while speaking on Christina Lewis, The Voice Of East Africa about her marriage to the businessman, she was asked about her memories when they were courting.
Sarah recounted how Simon's engagement idea failed terribly.
She said he had organised a valentines weekend at Amboseli where his plan was to engage her on top of the Observation Hill in Amboseli.
"So he woke me up for the morning drive but I had cramps. I refused and he begged me and even knelt.I didn't know he wanted to propose," she said.
Sarah added;
"So when I refused completely and it was our last day there, he decided to propose at the gate when we were leaving and I was looking shaggy. We ended up not taking good photos. I don't have photos of the proposal."
Sarah encouraged women to adhere when they see men beg them as they might end up missing one of their most precious gifts.
Speaking about how they met, Sarah said it was through a Google group and since they were the most active members, they were selected to plan a trip with other group members.
"It was not planned, we were just in the group discussing on politics. We were both very active. We did plan the trip which was very successful with over 10k people attending."
