Worship singer Evelyne Wanjiru and her husband Agunda are expecting their first born baby.

While unveiling their pregnancy, Evelyne said she has waited for her baby 10 years since she got married.

Speaking in an interview with Bwenieve Digital, the couple said they were under pressure from people about getting children.

"Some fans would go overboard and throw around insensitive comments, but we always kept our calm and trusted in God."

Speaking about her cravings, Evelyne said she loves mangoes from Ukambani.

"There was one time my husband had to drive all the way to Machakos to bring my beloved mangoes."

The couple is excited about their new gift and they can't wait to be parents.

Through her social media, Evelyne wrote;

"Today my heart is full of Joy and gratitude. As I write this, my eyes are full of tears. I have been waiting for this season for 10 years in my marriage.A blessed womb, God has fulfilled His promise in our lives."

Her husband expressed how excited he was adding that God had remembered them 10 years later.

"Waiting is not easy but when the grace is sufficient everything flows as God intended. Am so joyful, excited and thankful that God remembered us on the 10th year in marriage . We are a clear testimony that God is, can and will remember that couple that is still waiting upon Him."
